So far, the Buckeyes have the No. 2 ranked class in 2024, according to 247Sports composite rankings, with 16 verbal commitments. This list includes three five-star recruits and 11 four-star recruits. Here is the complete list so far for Ohio State:

This is a very impressive list so far for Ryan Day, Mark Pantoni, and the rest of the Buckeye staff. But Ohio State likes to have at least 20 kids per class, and this one could be a bit more depending on who ends up committing at each position.
The Buckeyes really need to get going on the defensive side of the ball. Larry Johnson has yet to sign anyone to his defensive line and Tim Walton and Perry Eliano need a few more bodies in the secondary. Here is our prediction for the rest of the class:
