Preseason All-Big Ten Offense

Quarterback- JJ McCarthy, Michigan- The Wolverine signal caller deserves to be QB1 right now on this list after making huge plays all season long for Michigan in 2022. The former five-star recruit had 2,719 yards passing and 22 touchdowns. While those aren’t eye-popping numbers, McCarthy is a gamer and just flat-out wins.

Tailback- Blake Corum,  Michigan- Another Wolverine, Corum was indeed the best tailback in the Big Ten last year having rushed for 1,463 yards and 18 scores. He and Donovan Edwards are the Big Ten’s best rushing duo.

Tailback- Braelon Allen, Wisconsin- Allen is a dynamic back who displays great versatility with excellent vision and nimble feet. He rushed for 1,242 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022 but I would expect those numbers to rise in 2023 now that they have a new offense and teams won’t put nine guys in the box against him.

Wide Receiver- Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State- In simple terms, Harrison Jr. is the best football player in the Big Ten heading into 2023. With the ability to catch anything thrown his way, Marv had 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns as a first-time starter in 2022. Expect those numbers to climb in 2023.

Wide Receiver- Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State- Maybe one of the more underrated players in all of college football last season, Egbuka was a monster in the slot for the Buckeyes recording 74 catches for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns of his own in 2022.

Tight End- Cade Stover, Ohio State- Another Buckeye skill position player, Stover was an excellent surprise for Ohio State in 2022 with 36 catches for 406 yards and five touchdowns, proving to be one of the best tight ends in the Big Ten.

Center- Gus Hartwig, Purdue- The lone boilermaker on the All-Big Ten team Hartwig started all 13 games for Purdue at center last season and was an All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches in 2022.

Guard- Zak Zinter, Michigan- Maybe the best offensive lineman in the Big Ten, Minter is a two-time All-Big Ten selection by coaches and media alike and was a consensus first-team All-Big Ten player in 2022.

Guard- Donovan Jackson, Ohio State- The former five-star recruit from Bellair, Texas was a first-team All-Big Ten performer by the media and a second-team performer as voted on by the coaches.

Tackle- Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Penn State- Fashanu was named a Walter Camp second-team All-American in 2022 and was a third-team All-American named by Phil Steele. The junior from Waldorf, Maryland did not allow a single sack in 2022.

Tackle- Jack Nelson, Wisconsin- The next in line as a great Badger offensive lineman, Nelson has been a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention voted on by the coaches and media.
