The Ohio State football team has been trying to improve their secondary as much as possible. They added a couple of guys in the transfer portal in the offseason and have been active in recruiting kids from the 2024 class. One recruit in particular is someone they’d love to grab.

That recruit is four-star corner Bryce West. West is from Cleveland Glenville and is rated as the best corner in the state of Ohio. He had an official visit scheduled for USC, but apparently, he just canceled it. That means he is down to TTUN and the Ohio State football program.

We already told you how West is projected to pick the Buckeyes. That doesn’t mean it’s a done deal though. We know that in the era of NIL nothing is done until that LOI is signed and delivered to the school. West still has his official visit to Ohio State next week as well.

The Buckeyes are still behind TTUN in the recruiting rankings at the moment. That being said, TTUN has five more commits than the Buckeyes do right now. Ohio State can easily make up that gap, and adding West into the fold would certainly help close that gap.

Recruiting is really starting to heat up. This is the time of year when camps happen and kids start to get onto campuses. That’s prime time for these coaches to really get to see these kids up close and continue to build that relationship with both them and the parents.

We’ll let you know what West decides to do. He likely won’t commit until he visits Ohio State on the 23rd. That doesn’t mean he couldn’t decide before then though. He’s clearly already happy with what he’s seen so far from the Buckeyes.
