Ohio State Football: Best Buckeye Futures bets

The Ohio State football team will begin their season in just under three months. It is another chance for them to make the College Football Playoff and try to win a national championship after coming agonizingly close to doing so last season. They were just one field goal short.

Heading into this season, there are plenty of bets that you should keep an eye on if you’re looking for some good Futures bets. All of these odds come from FanDuel, so grab them while you can. Getting good lines early is key to making some good money on future bets.

The first bet any Ohio State football fan should be making is for them to make the College Football Playoff. Those odds stand at +105 right now. Day has made the CFP every year but one since he’s been the head coach. Even if they do fall to TTUN, I don’t see them missing the CFP.

If you do have them making the CFP, putting money down on them to win the Big Ten isn’t a bad idea either. Those odds are a little better at +165. They are actually the betting favorite to win the Big Ten despite a two-game losing streak to TTUN. Their odds sit at +210.

Perhaps the Futures bet with the best value is for Ohio State to win a national championship. They actually have the second-best odds at +600 only behind Georgia. That’s still great value for a team that has a legitimate shot to win it all.

I have one individual Futures bet for you as well. Kyle McCord’s odds to win the Heisman sit at +2000 right now. Even though he’s still fighting for a starting job, he has the best odds of any Buckeye to win the Heisman. If you think this is the year a Buckeye can win it, now would be a good time to bet on McCord. Marvin Harrison Jr. has +3000 odds if you like that better.
