The Ohio State football team will play their opener on CBS. That was announced today, along with some other matchups for the Buckeyes. So far, all of their games this season will be played on TV where you can actually locate the game on a TV channel.

We knew that with the new deal being signed with CBS and NBC that there were games that those networks were going to put solely on their respective streaming services. NBC has already done that to a couple of Notre Dame games, much to fans’ chagrin.

TTUN fans are outraged because they’ve been given that treatment for their opener. TTUN will play their opener against East Carolina exclusively on Peacock. That means that unless fans subscribe to the service, they will not be able to watch the game at all.

Fans, as you can expect, are not taking the news well at all.

As you can see, fans are not happy with this development. Quite frankly, as an Ohio State football fan, I wouldn’t either if the Buckeyes played a season-opener on Peacock. I understand why NBC wants to do it because it could entice TTUN fans to buy a Peacock subscription.

Hopefully, this won’t affect the Buckeyes any time soon. Right now, all of their games are on TV and I hope it stays that way for the rest of the season.
