The Ohio State football team will be playing on a lot of different networks this season. After the Big Ten signed a new TV deal, some of which is still trying to be fixed, the Buckeyes will be playing on four different networks this season, although one is owned by FOX as well.

We knew that the Ohio State football team was going to take on Notre Dame on NBC in primetime. We now know that the Buckeyes will also open CBS’ coverage of the Big Ten in Week 1 when they take on IU. That game has been scheduled for 3:30 pm.

It makes sense for CBS to put the number one brand the Big Ten has on their first telecast of Big Ten games, so this isn’t a huge surprise. It will certainly be weird seeing different announcers doing an Ohio State game so soon, but it’s something we must get used to.

We also have found out that the second game of the season against Youngstown State will be at noon on Big Ten Network. Again, this makes sense for their designated BTN game of the year. It may also be the least-attended game of the year for Ohio State.

The third game of the year is against Western Kentucky at home in the Shoe. That game has been announced as a 4 pm kickoff time on FOX. So the Buckeyes’ first three games will be played at different times on different networks, which isn’t that surprising.

When game times get released, you know the season is inching closer. Soon enough, the Buckeyes will be back on the field practicing for the start of the season. We are just three months away from the start of the 2023 college football season and I know Buckeye fans can’t wait.
