WR: Michael Thomas

Michael Thomas was always known to me and my friends as the Spring Game Hero. He’d always ball out during that scrimmage but wasn’t found during big games during the season. We still got some glimpses of just how good he could’ve been had he played in a more pass-centric offense.

Despite never having more than 800 yards in his career, he scored 18 touchdowns in each of his final two seasons. He had that insane catch in the corner of the endzone against Alabama when Evan Spencer threw him the ball in a play that will go down in Ohio State football lore forever.

Thomas only caught 113 balls in the two years he was a starter. Had he gotten more of a chance to get the ball, he would have been a complete stud. We saw that once he got to the NFL and he had Drew Brees throwing him the ball in a pass-focused offense.

Thomas is a big dude at 6’3 and 210 pounds. Had he been the focal point of the offense like Marvin Harrison Jr. was last year, he could have been a First-Team All-American. His career turned out pretty good though. He’s got a national championship ring.

We now go to our next receiver on this list who happened to be a teammate of his.
