As the Ohio State football team continues Spring practices, a former Wolverine receiver had choice words about the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Ohio State football team’s Spring is in full swing with practices and hosting numerous national recruits. They even had their first big verbal commitment of the Spring as running back James Peoples committed on Sunday night. With all that’s happening, it’s a shame that a former Michigan receiver had to just go run his mouth over the weekend.

Braylon Edwards, the former first-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns, a player who only beat the Buckeyes once in four tries, had some choice words to say on his podcast, Erman and Edwards, via Eleven Warriors:

"“Why would I choose that place over Ohio State, where I know I can easily be the next (Dwayne) Haskins or C.J. Stroud or Justin Fields and fall in line? It’s because that program is not as good as the one in Ann Arbor, and I know that. They’re shortening and shortening and shortening… They used to have three DBs in the first round, some linemen, a couple of Bosa brothers or Chase Young. You’re not having that anymore. That program is falling apart and recruits can see it.”"

The program is falling apart? Really? This guy has his head so far in the clouds that it’s not even funny. Michigan has won THREE games over Ohio State in the last TWENTY years. Ohio State has two national titles in that time and appeared in three other national title games. They were one play away from most likely winning the national title last season. And the Ohio State football program is falling apart? Laughable!

Old stone hands Edwards needs to wake up to reality. Ohio State has been out recruiting Michigan for two decades and that’s not slowing down anytime soon. Jim Harbaugh is more concerned with trying to get his next NFL gig than pounding the recruiting trail. And Ohio State might have three top 10 NFL draft picks this year. So, to say they aren’t producing NFL talent is a joke.

The Buckeyes had a top-five class in 2023, again. Michigan barely cracked the top 20, according to 247 Sports. The health of Ohio State’s program is vastly better than TTUN. Going through coordinators every season, terminating coaches because of computer access crimes, illegal recruiting, and the football team’s head coach and Athletic Director don’t speak to one another.

Hey, congratulations Braylon. You got your 15 minutes of fame for your podcast. But it’s pretty funny to say that the Ohio State football program is falling apart when they continue to just win and pump talent into the NFL every season.
