Ohio State Football: Why TTUN displaying flag in museum is lame

The Ohio State football team has lost to TTUN two years in a row. Neither game was that close if you really look at it, although last year’s game only got out of hand when C.J. Stroud tried to make stuff happen after time was running low. Either way, the Buckeyes lost both games.

In that game last year, we all know that TTUN planted their flag on the field at the Shoe. It was the first time that the Wolverines had beaten the Buckeyes in the Shoe in over 20 years. While I hate that they did that, they won the game so they get to do what they want.

Now they have decided to put that flag into a museum on campus. That is so incredibly lame for a multitude of reasons. First off, have you ever seen the Ohio State football program plant a flag on another team’s field, let alone in the Big House? Of course, you haven’t.

This displays a low level of class that we’ve come to expect from that program under Jim Harbaugh. It’s also just flat-out lame to put a flag you had during a game into a museum. It’s not like they won the national championship last season or anything.

Another reason why it’s lame is that TTUN has finally gotten some confidence to talk some smack now that they’ve finally won some games against Ohio State in the last two decades. Where was this same energy when the Buckeyes were beating their brains in for 20 years?

Even though it’s incredibly lame to see them do this, the Buckeyes can’t say anything. They haven’t come close to beating them since the 2019 season (2020 was canceled because of Harbaugh ducking the Bucks) and that allows TTUN to continue to talk smack as much as they want.

dark. Next. Can Davison Igbinosun save Ohio State's secondary?

I hope Ryan Day is using this material to help motivate his team to keep the streak from continuing in late November. Nothing would be sweeter than to return the favor of flag-planting in the Big House this year.
