The Ohio State football program is starting up Spring practice this week. It’s nice to see them back on the field and to get ready for the 2023 season. It’s also a time when recruits can come and take some visits to see what the Buckeyes are all about.

After having a weaker-than-usual finish to the 2023 recruiting cycle, the Buckeyes are looking to turn things around in the 2024 cycle. One of the biggest priorities for them is to improve the depth along the offensive line. They got a commitment today that helps them with that.

Marc Nave commits to the Ohio State football program.

Marc Nave, who is an offensive lineman from Toledo Central Catholic, has committed to the Buckeyes today. Nave is a three-star offensive lineman that had offers from some good programs, including Auburn, Cincinnati, and Pitt. He chose the Buckeyes out of all of them.

While Nave is just a three-star recruit, he’s very raw. He mainly played right guard on Central Catholic’s state championship team in 2022. He’s listed at 6’5 and 315 pounds, so that’s good size for an interior lineman. Ohio State sees some potential in him.

Ohio State offered Nave at the end of January. He picked up a few other offers after that too but decided Columbus is where he wants to be. Nave becomes the fourth member of the 2024 recruiting class for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He’s currently the lowest-rated member.

Nave can certainly improve that ranking next year during his senior season. I think once he gets into the program he can get stronger and turn out to be a decent player. I don’t expect superstardom or anything, but he could be a nice starter for a year or two during his junior or senior year at Ohio State.

Next. The Jack position might be dead already. dark

I’d like to see the Buckeyes keep those commitments rolling!
