The Ohio State football team is taking on the Indiana Hoosiers tomorrow at noon. This comes a week after the Buckeyes had to deal with horrendous weather conditions while taking on Northwestern which caused them to stall out on offense.

There should be no such stalling this weekend against IU. The Buckeyes will try to get the ground game going for the first time in the last three weeks. In each of those three games, Ohio State failed to run the ball effectively, especially in the first half.

Even if Ohio State can’t run the ball well against IU they should win this game easily. IU is one of the worst teams in the Big Ten and won’t be able to stop Ohio State’s passing attack. The question isn’t whether or not the Buckeyes win this game, but rather by how much.

Official prediction: Ohio State 54 IU 10

I think C.J. Stroud has a big bounceback effort in this one. I think he throws for at least three touchdown passes and over 300 yards. He threw for a career-low total last weekend in that terrible wind. I think he plays much better without that wind affecting him.

Let’s face it, this game is about preparing for Michigan. Everything that the Buckeyes do for the next two weeks is about preparing for them. That’s why it’s so important to fix the running game. I’m not sure they can beat TTUN without running the ball effectively.

I do think the Buckeyes will run it better against IU, but I don’t think the run game will be totally fixed. I think there are problems there that will probably persist for the rest of the season. It just remains to be seen whether or not the passing game and the defense can overcome that.
