The Ohio State football team was picked as the favorite to win the Big Ten before the season started. Nothing has happened so far that would change anyone’s thoughts about that. But we have our answer as to who the biggest competition for Ohio State is.

Michigan was able to take care of Penn State with ease. We saw that Penn State clearly can’t stop the run, which is something the Ohio State coaching staff is definitely going to take note of. The Buckeyes take on the Nittany Lions in a couple of weeks at noon.

This is what we thought it was going to be before the season started. Ohio State vs. TTUN for the Big Ten title and the right to go to the College Football Playoff. TTUN does have one more test before they take on the Buckeyes, and that’s Illinois.

Michigan takes on Illinois the week before the Ohio State Buckeyes take them on. That could be a game that Michigan overlooks because they are looking ahead toward Ohio State. It would be cool if the Fighting Illini could upset the Wolverines the week before they come to Columbus.

I think that Michigan actually has a pretty good running attack. It will be interesting to see how the Buckeyes respond to Michigan’s attempts to run the ball against their defensive line. Ohio State’s defensive line has done a much better of stopping the run this year so far.

Penn State doesn’t seem like much of a threat to beat the Buckeyes anymore. The game in two weeks has become a lot less scary after what I witnessed today.
