The Ohio State football team gets to kick back and relax this weekend as they are off. The Penn State vs. Michigan game is the one to watch on Saturday.

The Ohio State football team is on its bye this weekend after a 6-0 start to the regular season. This is time for the Buckeyes to heal up and for the coaching staff to address some areas of the team that need some help.

Ohio State can also do some scouting of a major game within the Big Ten East. Penn State travels north to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday for the Big Noon Kickoff on Fox.

This is sure to be the game of the week as these are two very even teams heading into this top-ten matchup. The implications of this game are enormous as the winner of this game will emerge as the major threat to Ohio State to win the Big Ten.

Should Penn State go up on the road and knock off Michigan, then the Ohio State vs. Penn State game in Happy Valley on October 29th could be the defacto Big Ten Championship. If Michigan wins, The Game on November 26th will carry some extra weight. Any Ohio State fan with a free afternoon has to be tuned into this game.

Both defenses have been outstanding to start the season. And it will be interesting to see how the Wolverines perform in a game where the talent on the other sideline equates to their own. Michigan’s schedule, especially its non-conference schedule has been hot garbage.

I expect this to be a dogfight heading into the fourth quarter. Michigan definitely has the advantage of being at home, but I wouldn’t be shocked if the Nittany Lions come out of the Big House with an upset win.

Next. Buckeyes All-Decade Team. dark

Either way, this should be the best Big Ten game played so far this year and I’m ready to watch these two beat the heck out of each other.
