The Ohio State football team takes on their first road game of the season when they play Michigan State in East Lansing. Michigan State isn’t that good, having lost their last three games in a row. This shouldn’t be too hard for the Buckeyes to win.

And yet, history has not been kind to the Buckeyes when they have a great team playing the Spartans. Michigan State has played spoiler on many occasions. 1998, 2013, and 2015 all come to mind when thinking about great Ohio State football teams losing to Michigan State when they shouldn’t have.

With that being the case, this game might be more interesting than some people think. If you’re looking to do some betting on this game, here are a couple of bets that might interest you regarding this matchup.

Best Ohio State football team bets Week 6

According to FanDuel, the spread sits at 26.5 favorites. The line has gone up two points since Tuesday. Ohio State is obviously the favorite. I think the Buckeyes do end up covering the spread. Their offense is on another planet right now and Michigan State can’t keep up.

As far as the over/under goes, that sits at 64.5. I believe that will go over. While I don’t think the Spartans will be able to score enough points to keep up with the Buckeyes, I do believe they will at least score some points, unlike my colleague. The over is the smart play here.

This should be a good first road test for Ohio State heading into the meat of their schedule. Games start to get tougher after this. The good news is that they get a bye after this game too so they can finally start to get healthy for the stretch run of the season.
