The Ohio State football team’s win vs. ND made a big impression on Matayo Uiagalelei.

That’s right, the brother of Clemson’s starting quarterback was on campus this past weekend to take in the festivities in Columbus. Matayo Uiagalelei is the second-best edge guy in the country and is another five-star prospect the Buckeyes were hosting.

Uiagalelei has been heavily linked to the Buckeyes for a while now. This was a huge game to have him at and he saw what the defensive line can do in this scheme. Ohio State completely dominated the line of scrimmage from start to finish in that game.

Ohio State isn’t the only place he’s taking official visits to though. Uiagalelei has official visits lined up to Oregon, USC, Alabama, and Clemson. Clemson is probably the toughest competition here because of his brother being the starting quarterback there.

If DJ is benched though, his younger brother might think about heading elsewhere. Ohio State seems to be moving to the top of the list for him. While I tend to use247Sports for recruiting info, several other sites now have Ohio State as the favorite to land him.

How the other official visits go will be a big factor in his decision-making, as will Keeley’s decision. I doubt Ohio State would be able to land both great edge guys in the same class. It would probably be one or the other and Uiagalelei is the favorite right now.

The final recruit who was impressed with the Buckeyes is yet another edge guy that Ohio State is trying to bring in.
