The Ohio State football team is taking on Arkansas State this weekend. It’s a nice change of pace for Week 2 after a big-time matchup against Notre Dame in Week 1. The Buckeyes were able to win that game and dodged some bad weather in doing so.
It ended up drizzling all throughout the pregame festivities and stopped right around an hour before kickoff. That was the worst-case scenario for the Fighting Irish. They needed all the help they could get and rain would have slowed Ohio State down a bit.
Bad weather is the best-case scenario for Arkansas State this weekend too. The Red Wolves are completely overmatched in terms of talent. A victory for them is covering the 44.5-point spread. It doesn’t look like they’re going to get that help from the weather though.
The weather is going to be much better for the pregame festivities this week and that will continue into kickoff. It will be mostly cloudy for this Noon kickoff on Big Ten Network. It will be 76 degrees at kickoff and the temperature will be about 80 when the game ends.
Wind won’t be a factor in this game either. It will actually be pretty much perfect weather to play football, which is great for the Ohio State football team. They are trying to get their offense back on track after a pedestrian performance by their standards last week. Good weather should help that.
It should be a great day on Saturday to head to the Shoe and watch the Buckeyes play. I will be there once again cheering from my season ticket holder seats. It’ll be a nice day for tailgating and hanging around after the game as well.
Ohio State should blow out this team without too much trouble.
