Best Ohio State football bets for Week 2

Ohio State is a 44.5-point favorite right now. The Buckeyes were 17-point favorites last week and did not cover. 44.5 points is a huge spread, even for someone as good as Ohio State. If Jaxon Smith-Njigba doesn’t play, I don’t see how they cover the spread. Taking the points isn’t a bad idea here.

The over/under sits at 68.5 right now and I think that’s a pretty darn good number for this game. I think Ohio State’s offense will be better overall than they were in Week 1 and should be able to put up a decent amount of points. I tend to think that this game will go slightly over that total.

We’ll see whether or not the Buckeyes are able to look better on offense this week. Either way, this is a week for them to get better for both starters and backups.
