The Ohio State football team takes on Arkansas State this weekend in the second game of the season. It’s a good opponent for the Buckeyes to face after taking on a tough Notre Dame team in the opener. They get a bit of a reprieve taking on the Red Wolves.

While this isn’t a game that might captivate fans in a competitive sense, there are still several interesting things to watch. There are players who are intriguing to watch for one reason or another and there are plenty of bets that are interesting to watch as well.

I know that plenty of Ohio State football fans across the country place bets on the Buckeyes each week, so we will try to come up with some of the best bets each week that you can take for the game. If you’re looking for betting content, this is the article for you.

Best Ohio State football bets for Week 2

Ohio State is a 44.5-point favorite right now. The Buckeyes were 17-point favorites last week and did not cover. 44.5 points is a huge spread, even for someone as good as Ohio State. If Jaxon Smith-Njigba doesn’t play, I don’t see how they cover the spread. Taking the points isn’t a bad idea here.

The over/under sits at 68.5 right now and I think that’s a pretty darn good number for this game. I think Ohio State’s offense will be better overall than they were in Week 1 and should be able to put up a decent amount of points. I tend to think that this game will go slightly over that total.
