Cris Carter is the greatest receiver in Ohio State football history.

You know when your photo is in black and white that you played a long time ago. That doesn’t matter for Cris Carter, because he’s still the greatest receiver in Ohio State football history. The sad thing is that he could have been even better than he already was.

Carter was a freak of nature when he played for the Buckeyes in the 80s. In the three years he played in Columbus, he had 168 catches for 2,725 yards and 27 touchdowns. He’s fourth on the single-season receiving list with 1,127, and he’s also fourth in career touchdown catches.

Carter is still fourth in Ohio State history in receptions, despite playing in an era where running the ball was the main part of the offense. He had some of the most acrobatic catches that you’ll ever see. The man was an athlete, and he could’ve been even better.

That’s because Carter did all of this while doing drugs in college. He’s been open with the fact that he smoked weed, crack, and did cocaine while at Ohio State. Had he not done any of that stuff, he could have been one of the greatest wide receivers in college football history.

Despite all of that, Carter was still an elite receiver that went on to have a Hall of Fame career in the NFL. He’s still the greatest wide receiver in Ohio State football history all these years later as well.
