More Ohio State Football game times released
By Ryan Stano
We already knew that the Ohio State football team will open up the 2022 season against Notre Dame at 7:30 pm on September 3rd. That announcement happened several days ago. Now we know when the Buckeyes will be playing some of their other games too.
The following week, Ohio State takes on Arkansas State at the Shoe. They will do so at noon on Big Ten Network. That time makes sense since Arkansas State is exactly a marquee opponent. You can’t really put them in a primetime matchup, although the following matchup is.
Strangely, Ohio State’s week three matchup against Toledo is scheduled for 7 pm. Perhaps it’s a night game because it will be on Fox, but it’s still a weird time to play a MAC opponent. That’s the time slot that makes the least sense of the ones that we know of right now.
The other time that was announced is the Rutgers game, which is homecoming. That game is set for 3:30 on October 1st. That game time also makes sense since homecoming always seems to be a 3:30 kickoff. Rutgers also might be the worst Big Ten team Ohio State faces this year.
It’s good to know these kickoff times so now fans can plan accordingly. Sure, there are still 3+ months until football is going to be played, but it still gets us excited nonetheless. It will be fun to watch all of these games in person too. Even the night one against Toledo.
I’m sure we will learn more about the kickoff times for some of the other games soon or sometime over the Summer.
