Ohio State Football: Kickoff time for Notre Dame game revealed
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has one of the marquee opening weekend games in college football this season. They will take on Notre Dame on September 3rd. It will be the return of Buckeye linebackers Marcus Freeman and James Laurinaitis, who both coach at Notre Dame now.
We now know when that game is scheduled to kickoff. The Buckeyes will get a night game to start things off as the game will be a 7:30 pm kick on ABC. It’s going to be a heck of a day of college football for the opening weekend and the Ohio State football team will headline it.
This is an advantage for the Buckeyes. It gives the students all day to drink and get a little rowdier than they would have if it was a noon game. Night games just have a different juice for it. That will be especially true for a home opener against a premier opponent.
We don’t know any other kickoff time for a Buckeye game except the game against TTUN, which is at its traditional noon slot. We do know that the game against Wisconsin on September 24th will be an ABC broadcast, which means it will likely be a 3:30 or a 7:30 pm kick.
Ohio State will be preparing for this game from now until it happens. It’s nice to get a little bit of college football news here in mid-May to whet our appetite for the college football season. There are still six months until the Buckeyes play this game though, so we still have to wait a while.
