This is the first birthday of Dwayne Haskins’ that the Ohio State football program and its fans have had to deal with since his passing about a month ago. Today would have been his 25th birthday and he’d be gearing up for his attempt to win the Steelers’ starting quarterback position.
On his 25th birthday, former teammates and current Ohio State football players and coaches took to social media to post tributes about Haskins.

As you can see, Haskins is still in everyone’s thoughts and prayers. Things are still pretty fresh and raw after his death. It will likely be this way once Ohio State starts its season in September because the Buckeyes will once again honor Haskins in some way throughout the year.
We know more about that tragic moment, but it still is sad to know that Haskins was taken from this world at such a young age. He still had so much to give both on and off the football field. It’s still very sad to think about. This will happen every May 3rd from now on.
I’m very interested to see what the Buckeyes decide to do in terms of honoring him through the 2022 season. I’m sure that whatever they decide will be a fitting tribute to remember him.
