It’s finally here. The NFL Draft is this week and several Ohio State football players are about to take the next step on their football journeys. They are about to go pro. Ohio State will have at least two first-round picks this year and I want to talk about one of them now.

I want to talk about Chris Olave and how high he could potentially get drafted. It seems that Garrett Wilson is the consensus number one receiver in this draft. After that though, it gets a bit murky. It seems that team preference determines who will be the next receiver off the board.

That’s why it’s hard to project where Olave might land. I doubt he’ll be the second receiver taken. I think Drake London will likely be that guy. It’s conceivable he is the third receiver taken though. It will either be him or Treylon Burks in my opinion, although Ohio State football transfer Jameson Williams is getting some talk that high too.

I think the highest I could see Olave going is 10th to the Jets. Wilson will likely be gone by then and London could go too. Both the Falcons and the Giants need receivers with the Giants looking to move Kadarius Toney already. 10 is the absolute highest Olave could go.

More realistically, I think 15 is a good spot for Olave to be taken. That would be where the Eagles are. Philly needs another receiver to go with Devonta Smith and Olave would be a good compliment to him. As we’ve talked about, Olave has the full package as a receiver.

I’d be shocked if Olave fell past New Orleans at 19. That’s how good he is. I think he’s a sure-fire top-20 pick. He’s going to make some lucky team very happy for years to come.
