The Ohio State football team will have several players drafted in this year’s NFL Draft. They typically do every year because of the level of talent that Ryan Day brings into the program. Today, we’re going to look at one specific player who will be drafted in April, most likely in the first round.

In celebration of 2/22/22, we are going to look at Ohio State’s #2. That #2 is Chris Olave, one of the best receivers the Ohio State football program has had in a while. Olave is one of two receivers that the Buckeyes could have go in the first round of the Draft this year.

Olave, while not as physically gifted as Garrett Wilson, is certainly good enough to succeed at the next level. While he is most known for his deep routes, he can run any route on the route tree. He has excellent hands and can make tough catches.

Looking at teams that could be in a position to grab Olave, I think the best possible scenario for him is to be drafted by the Green Bay Packers late in the first round. Of course, the Packers have a long history of not drafting receivers in the first round, but maybe they do this in an effort to keep Aaron Rodgers.

If Rodgers does stay, Olave would thrive in Green Bay. Rodgers is perhaps the best quarterback in the game right now. Even if the Packers can’t keep Davante Adams, adding someone as skilled as Olave would help their offense.

Green Bay is a good organization for a young player to go as well. They are stable, have a great fanbase, and have a tradition of winning. I can’t think of a better place for Olave to start his NFL career than with the Packers.
