The Ohio State football program currently sits at 7th in the recruiting rankings according to 247Sports. That could all change after a really strong weekend. The Buckeyes will be hosting several five-star recruits on campus for a visit this weekend.

Three of the prospects taking a visit are five-star wide receivers. Brandon Inniss is one of them. He is the number one receiver in the country and the 9th-best recruit overall. He is from Fort Lauderdale and stands at 6 feet and 190 pounds.

Jalen Hale will also be in Columbus this weekend. Hale is the lowest-rated five-star recruit visiting this weekend. He is the 5th-best receiver in the country and the 33rd-ranked prospect overall. He is also the least likely of these recruits to attend Ohio State in my view.

Of the three receivers visiting, Inniss is the one Brian Hartline will have to do the most work on to grab. He is still very much on the fence. The other five-star receiver visiting this weekend, Carnell Tate, is projected to attend Ohio State. He very well could commit after he visits this weekend.

The Buckeyes have a five-star quarterback visiting this weekend as well. Dante Moore will be in Columbus too. Moore is the 3rd-best quarterback in the country and the 6th-best prospect overall. He is from Detroit, so landing him will be tough to do.

Ohio State will also be hosting five-star cornerback Cormani McClain. McClain is the 3rd best recruit in the country and the best cornerback in the country. He would be the first big recruit that Tim Walton would land since joining the Ohio State football team’s staff.

This is a very big weekend for Ryan Day and his staff. Landing any one of these guys would be big for the 2023 recruiting class. Adding more than one of these prospects would be monumental. We’ll see how good of a weekend these prospects have in Columbus.

Thad Matta could come back to coach this program. dark. Next

We’ll definitely let you know how these guys enjoy their weekend.
