When we learned that Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson were opting out of the Rose Bowl, we knew that Marvin Harrison Jr. was going to get some playing time. He’d been impressing coaches ever since the Spring Game. He just never got a chance to show it on the field.

Boy, did he showcase his skills when he got his chance. Harrison Jr. had 6 catches for 71 yards and 3 touchdowns against Utah in the Rose Bowl. Prior to that game, he had just 5 catches and 68 yards the whole season. He just didn’t get the opportunity to play a whole lot.

Now that Harrison Jr. got that opportunity, he should be one of the starters next season. He has all of the talent in the world to put up big numbers. With Stroud throwing to him and Smith-Njigba on the field as well, Harrison Jr. is going to be a start in 2022.

It doesn’t even matter who the other receiver is that’s on the field with these two guys. I told you at the start of last year that Harrison Jr. was supremely underrated. Now, I think he’s going to have a breakout season as a sophomore and just be one more weapon teams have to contend with.

I’d be shocked if Harrison Jr. was a stud next season. Heck, I expect him to be really good against Notre Dame in the opener. He’s that good of a player. His blend of size, soft hands, and his route running make him a really hard guy to defend in the open field.

The next player on this list was also a freshman last year that showed some flashes but now should have more of an opportunity to dominate.
