Ohio State continues to be close, but not close enough on the defensive line

One of the things Buckeye fans have been waiting for is the next dominant defensive lineman. Having been spoiled for years with the Bosa brothers followed by Chase Young, many were waiting for the next player who would take over the game. So far, that has not happened, and I do not think it happens in this game.

In fact, I think the Buckeyes lose the sack battle, giving up more than they get. Oregon is coming into the game with two outstanding defensive ends who have proved they can sack the quarterback.

Ohio State is waiting to see if Zach Harrison has really turned the corner and will be able to provide more than just pressures. In this game, I think Harrison continues to disrupt plays and will often be in the backfield, but I think Oregon does enough to keep him from hitting their quarterback.

This is an area the team will want to get fixed by the end of the year, and will likely make an emphasis in the next few games. But against a good team that will be looking to get rid of the ball, the Rushmen do not do as well as their Oregon counterparts.

The final bold prediction has to deal with who will be the most valuable players of the game and who determines the final outcome.
