The Ohio State football team plays a great early non-conference matchup when they play Oregon this Saturday. It will be a matchup of two top-15 teams. Ohio State is ranked third in the country, while the Ducks are ranked 12th in the country now.

It will be a good game to watch no matter what the result is. Both teams are really talented and are true College Football Playoff contenders. The winner of this game gives themselves a true chance to make it to the end of the season undefeated.

The Buckeyes didn’t play their best game in the opener against Minnesota. We already know some things that they can do better before they play this weekend. Oregon is thinking the same thing though. They struggled against Fresno State, who is an inferior opponent.

This will be the first time since late 2019 that the Buckeyes have played a game in front of their home fans. It will be a raucous atmosphere with at least 95,000 people there. There are still a few tickets remaining right now, so it might not be a complete sellout. But that’s still a lot of people.

There are three keys for Ohio State to walk out of their home opener with a victory. If they are able to do all of these things, there’s no reason that they can’t win. These are two good teams that will have to execute at a high level because of all of the talent.

The first thing the Buckeyes must do is defend the run better.
