Ohio State did not disappoint in producing WRU so far this season

One of the big storylines coming into the season was how good the Ohio State receiving group could be. Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson have been talked about as the two best wide receivers in all of college football.

That doesn’t take into account the tremendous amount of talent from the remainder of the group that includes a stable of young talent looking to make their mark. And when Ohio State was struggling, the wide receivers made all the difference.

The Buckeyes moved the ball with scary efficiency on their scoring drives. five out of their six touchdowns came on huge plays of 30+ yards, and each passing touchdown was a huge play. Chris Olave was able to get over 100 yards and two touchdown catches on just four receptions over the course of the entire game. Garrett Wilson added another touchdown along with 80 yards of receiving.

Wilson and Olave getting open to provide C.J. Stroud easy throws clearly took some of the pressure of Stroud and allowed the Buckeyes to start pulling away. One game in and Olave and Wilson did nothing but cement their position at the top of all wide receivers.

The next winner I have on this list might be a little bit of a surprise for some people.
