The beginning of the season starts fast for Ohio State

@ Minnesota

Ohio State begins the year on the road against Big Ten opponent, Minnesota. This will be a test for the Ohio State rushing defense. Mohamed Ibrahim is the best running back in the Big Ten and will look to return the Gophers to their 2019 success.

C.J. Stroud is going to get his first action in a college football game alongside a new Ohio State running back. The defense for the Buckeyes is looking to rebound from last year.

Overall, I expect C.J. Stroud to shine and the Buckeyes to get a huge win out the gates.

Oregon

This is the biggest regular-season non-conference matchup for Ryan Day. A matchup between two teams likely to be in the top 15 of national rankings, this is a game that has been circled for a few years.

Oregon will enter the season trying to defend their Pac-12 championship in an unusual season. The recent alliance between the Big Ten and Pac-12 could see these teams become more familiar moving forward, however, the last time these teams met was in the National Championship.

Ohio State will get their first chance at having a full ‘Shoe in almost two years. The crowd is going to be a huge factor in motivating Stroud and company against a tough team.
