Marcus Carr just recently entered his name into the transfer portal. The Buckeye killer himself has been the Ohio State basketball team’s worst enemy over the last few seasons. It seems like every time he plays Ohio State he has another career-high in points.

Carr averaged 19.4 points per game as well as 4.9 assists for Minnesota. The Golden Gophers’ best player has decided to use his final year of eligibility elsewhere. He only shot 38.5% from the field last season and 31.7% from the three-point line.

Carr is essentially a Duane Washington clone. His stats pretty much mirror was Washington did for the Buckeyes last season. He also has a skill set that is very similar to what Washington did for Ohio State. He would slide right into that shooting guard spot.

Whether or not Carr is a viable candidate for the Buckeyes remains to be seen. He would help with the sudden lack of shot creation that the Buckeyes have now. Not only would he be able to create his own shots, but he can get buckets. Ohio State needs scorers.

This last player that they should target is someone that Buckeye fans may not be quite as familiar with, but he could still step in and help this team right away next year.
