The Ohio State football program is in the final three for a five-star recruit. He will be making his decision in August,

The Ohio State football program might finally be making some moves on the recruiting trail in terms of getting some commitments. The Buckeyes are in five-star athlete Treyaun Webb’s final three schools. Webb will be making his decision in August on CBS Sports.

Webb also has Georgia and Oklahoma as his other final schools. Webb is from Florida, so none of these schools are super close to home. Georgia is the closest in that regard, but clearly being close to home is not much of a factor for him. He just wants to go to the best school for him.

Webb is one of the top prospects for the class of 2023, so he would still have time to change his mind if he wanted to. Of course, the Buckeyes are hoping that he chooses them in August and doesn’t change his mind. That would be the ideal scenario.

In terms of fit, Webb could play a number of different positions. He has played running back and wide receiver so far in high school. He is a strong runner that uses a combination of speed and power to get yards. Webb also has great vision to find the right hole that is open.

Webb probably put Ohio State in his top three because they have a strong track record of producing studs at both positions. The running back room would thin out by the time he got to campus. Of course, Ryan Day would probably add at least one more back to that class.

Webb didn’t give a specific date in August as to when he would commit. We’ll just have to monitor his social media channels to know when he is going to make that final decision. I know the coaches feel good about his coming to Columbus.
