Former Ohio State basketball star Aaron Craft to play in TBT
By Ryan Stano
One of the most beloved Ohio State basketball players in recent memory is coming out of retirement to once again play for Carmen’s Crew in The Basketball Tournament.
Aaron Craft is one of my favorite Ohio State basketball players of all time. I know I’m not alone in that sentiment. Craft was beloved by Ohio State basketball fans all across the country. He was someone that always played as hard as he could every time he stepped on the court.
Craft continued doing that while he was playing for Carmen’s Crew in The Basketball Tournament. In fact, he was part of the team that won it all back in 2019. After that, he decided to retire because he was admitted into Ohio State Medical School.
While he is still trying to be a doctor, Craft has committed to playing for Carmen’s Crew yet again. He will join a host of other former Buckeyes at a chance to win $1 million. He announced his decision on fellow Carmen’s Crew member Jared Sullinger’s Twitter account.
Craft will once again be the defensive stopper that Carmen’s Crew needs. The team made up of former Buckeyes will have plenty of scoring around Craft. Now add him for defensive and passing purposes, and this team becomes much more dangerous.
It will be great to watch TBT again this summer. Now that there will be fans to watch them when they play in Columbus, it will be a much more fun atmosphere. They should be considered one of the favorites to win it all now that they have Craft.
The first game for the TBT will be in just over a month on July 16th. Carmen’s Crew is guaranteed a “home game” in Columbus because of their seeding.
