Tommy Togiai’s value was never shown more than when he missed Ohio State’s matchup against Bama in the national title. Bama ran up the middle at will and was able to keep the pocket clean because they just double-teamed Haskell Garrett and were able to handle the defensive ends outside.

Togiai is more than just a strong defensive tackle. He has great technique and can open things up for other players along the defensive line by taking up space. He’s not quite big enough to play nose tackle, but he can be a heck of a DT in a 4-3 scheme.

It seems that Togiai is projected to be a mid-round pick. Whichever team gets him gets someone who can wreck a game when he’s at his best. His lack of speed is what is keeping his value down. He compensates for that by pushing the pocket back with brute force.

Togiai is someone who can come in right away and start at defensive tackle in the NFL. At the very least, he would be someone who can be in the rotation for a good team right away. Being picked that low and having that sort of upside is an incredible value.

All of these players will get taken at some point this weekend. If these players do slip a little bit in the Draft, whatever team takes them will be very happy that they did. These guys could be underrated picks in this draft five years from now.
