The Ohio State football team has a bunch of players who are looking to realize their NFL dreams this weekend. We know which Buckeye will get taken first in the Draft, but which will go second?

It’s not hard to figure out which Ohio State football player will get taken first in the 2021 NFL Draft. That honor will go to Justin Fields. Fields will be a first-round pick and is the best Buckeye prospect in this draft. Which Buckeye will go second though?

There are a few candidates. Both linebackers are possibly going to be second-round picks. Baron Browning and Pete Werner are both prospects that seem to be on the rise. Both linebackers had a great final season at Ohio State. They were two players who played consistently well in 2020.

Tommy Togiai is a possibility too. He showed an incredible display of strength during Ohio State’s Pro Day. He showed how valuable he was to the Buckeyes when he was gone in the National Championship Game. His strength would make any team that needs a defensive tackle very happy.

Wyatt Davis could also be the second Buckeye off the board. Davis was an All-American for two straight years for Ohio State. He is one of the top guards in this year’s draft. He could help any team that needs interior offensive line help.

In my opinion, it looks like Werner will be that second guy off the board. Werner has an outside shot at being a first-round pick. He is quick, tough, and can cover as well as get downhill to stop the run. He is a sure tackler as well because he doesn’t miss many of those.

Werner could end up going to Jacksonville at 33 overall as the first second-round pick. Urban Meyer recruited him to Ohio State and the Jaguars need help all over the defensive side of the ball. It would truly be a great fit for both sides.

Whichever Ohio State football player ends up being the second player taken in the Draft will be extremely successful, just like the rest of the Buckeyes who will get selected.
