We already knew that the Ohio State football team had a great crop of wide receivers. Based on what was shown at the Spring Game, they have the best group of receivers in the country.

The Ohio State football team has the two best wide receivers in the country in Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. We knew that already based on what they both have shown over the past two years. What we know now is just how good the rest of the receivers are.

Based on what we saw at the Spring Game, the Buckeyes have the best receiving corps in the country. Olave and Wilson aren’t the only threats. We saw flashes of Jaxon Smith-Njigba last year. He’s going to have an even bigger role this year. He might even start in the slot.

Jameson Williams should get more deep balls thrown to him this season. He hasn’t made an incredible impact in his three years at Ohio State yet, only catching a total of 15 balls for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Even so, he might be the most underrated receiver on the team.

We also saw just how bright the future is at this position. Marvin Harrison Jr. was one of the stars of the Spring Game. He caught the first touchdown of the game and showed poise above his years. He’s going to fight for playing time this season even with all of the talent ahead of him.

Emeka Egbuka also caught a lot of passes on Saturday and showed his potential. The number one receiver in the 2021 recruiting class showed that he can create some nice yards after the catch. He will see a ton of time on the field in 2022 after Olave and Wilson are gone.

One player we didn’t see was Julian Fleming. Fleming was hurt and didn’t participate in the game. He’s the number one recruit from the class of 2020. He is also going to get a lot of snaps this season and is also a dangerous weapon no matter where he lines up.

I’m not sure how defenses are going to be able to stop these receivers. No matter who the quarterback is, these receivers are going to be impossible to slow down. They are just too darn good.
