The Ohio State football target seemed all but locked up. Now, his recruitment seems to be taking an odd turn.

The Ohio State football team already has the second-best recruiting class in the country for 2021. Even so, there is one more player that they are trying to grab that is one of the nation’s best. That player is J.T. Tuimoloau out of the state of Washington, and he is the third-best player in the country.

Not too long ago I told you that Tuimoloau seemed all but decided on coming to Columbus. But now that the NCAA extended the dead period, things might be changing. Rumors are starting to heat up about where Tuimoloau might ultimately end up.

Ohio State is one of the few places on his list that he has not visited. He has already visited Alabama, and now there are rumors that Bama is feeling silently confident that they will be able to nab him. He has seen their campus after all, and being the defending National Champions doesn’t hurt.

Oregon seems oddly confident as well, although that could just be posturing. It seems that it’s down to just those three teams and Washington is now out of the running. Oregon seems to be the least likely of the three schools in my opinion though.

I’ve even heard rumors of Tuimoloau not making a decision now and waiting until 2022. I certainly don’t believe that. I think he will either choose Ohio State or Bama. Based on what I heard before, I still think he ends up playing football in Columbus.

The Ohio State football team should still be confident that they are going to get Tuimoloau, but they are definitely more nervous as more time goes along. Either way, As of now I think things are still going to work out positively.
