A four-star guard has named the Ohio State football program as one of his top ten that he is considering.

The Ohio State football team has the number one recruiting class for 2022. In order to stay that way, the Buckeyes need to keep grabbing elite talent from all over the country. It would certainly help to add Earnest Greene, who just named Ohio State in his top ten.

Greene is a four-star guard out of California. He is 6’4 and 330 pounds and is the seventh-best player in the state of California and the second-best guard in the country. He would be a fantastic addition to Ohio State’s already stellar 2022 recruiting class.

Greene is an extremely versatile player who could play anywhere on the offensive line. He is already drawing comparisons to Wyatt Davis, who was outstanding while he was in Columbus. Greene is already very big and strong and is surprisingly athletic at that size.

Right now, he has ten schools he is considering. Besides Ohio State, he has Oklahoma, LSU, Florida, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, USC, Georgia, and Alabama. Those are all top-tier programs that have storied histories of winning a lot of games.

Ohio State does have a lot of recruiting punch right now for offensive linemen, especially after the deal Corey Linsley just signed in the NFL. Greene would be foolish to not look deeply into the Buckeyes’ program. It will be up to Ryan Day and Greg Studrawa to finish off the job of getting him to Columbus.

With Greene just now naming his top ten and recruits still unable to visit schools, it might be a while before he makes a decision. As long as the Buckeyes are still in the running, this is good news. One thing Coach Stud can certainly do is recruit.
