The Ohio State football team will only be waiting for one decision today on Signing Day and it’s of Raesjon Davis, who visited Columbus a couple of weekends ago.

The Ohio State football team has a great recruiting class for 2021. It already has 21 commits and is the second-best class in the country. Ohio State really only has a chance to add two more players to this class, and only one will be making a decision today.

With J.T. Tuimoloau deciding to wait until April to commit to a school, Ohio State is only waiting on linebacker Raesjon Davis to make his decision. He will be making that decision this evening at 11:30 am. Davis is favored to go to USC but made a visit to Columbus very recently.

Davis ended up visiting Ohio State two weekends ago for the first time. Davis de-committed from LSU in December and decided to take one last visit. Columbus was that visit. By all accounts, he seemed to love his visit on campus, so that gives the coaching staff some hope.

Grabbing Davis would be a really nice snag this late in the recruiting process. He would give the Buckeyes a linebacker that could push for playing time right away since Ohio State loses all three starters at linebacker and a key backup in Justin Hilliard.

That early playing time could be a big selling point for Ryan Day and his staff even if it is not super realistic. Davis is a four-star recruit, but he is not likely to see significant playing time if he does choose to come to Columbus as a freshman.

Ohio State’s biggest competition for Davis is USC. Davis is from Southern California, so USC has had the advantage from the moment Davis de-committed. But he already committed to going far away from home once. There’s no reason he wouldn’t do that again.
