The Ohio State football program has all but signed, sealed, and delivered one of the best high school players in the country.

The Ohio State football team has one of the best recruiting classes in school history for the class of 2021. As we chronicled earlier, they could still be the number one class in the country. Based on what I’m hearing, they will get about as close as they possibly can to getting that ranking.

According to my sources, J.T. Tuimoloau has silently committed to Ohio State and will be coming to Columbus in the Fall. He was not expected to make a formal announcement until Signing Day on February 3rd. Now it looks like he will be in Scarlet and Gray.

If this holds, this is a huge get for the Buckeyes. They were already expected to sign him, but actually getting him is a whole other deal. He is one of the best players in the country for a reason and he will make the Ohio State defensive line even more forceful.

The defensive line is set to be absolutely loaded next year. They get back Haskell Garrett and Tyreke Smith and only lose Tommy Togiai. Everyone else is back. Add Tuimoloau and five-star recruit Jack Sawyer into the mix, and the line is going to be absolutely killer.

Tuimoloau probably will still wait until Signing Day to make his formal announcement. Ryan Day continues to kill it on the recruiting trail. If they can grab Raesjon Davis, who is on campus this weekend, in addition, that would be huge late in the recruiting game.

Next. OSU football freshmen arrive on campus. dark

Things can still happen where he can change his mind. But from what I am hearing, it looks like the Buckeyes will be adding another top-tier recruit to their already star-studded class.
