It’s officially game week and we will have you covered every step of the way. Ohio State’s first opponent is Nebraska, who they have been preparing for a long time.

It’s been a long time since we have been able to watch Ohio State football. Hopefully, this will be the longest we ever have to wait again. The Buckeyes will play Nebraska in the Shoe at noon on Saturday to start their march towards a national championship.

Preparing for Nebraska is a little harder than you might think. In addition to the normal game planning stuff that the team normally goes through, they have to keep themselves COVID-free. That is something that they will have to do all season long.

As far as Nebraska goes, they still have a lot of unknowns with their team. They still haven’t named a starting quarterback. They also have a new offensive coordinator. It doesn’t seem like they have a lot of playmakers on offense either.

Scott Frost might seem to be getting closer to the hot seat to a lot of outsiders, but those close to the program don’t believe that one bit. Frost hasn’t been able to produce a lot of wins for the Cornhuskers since taking over in 2018, accumulating a 9-15 record.

Because of that poor record, expect the Cornhuskers to come out with reckless abandon. They have nothing to lose. No one is expecting them to win this game. Ohio State needs to be aware of that fact and prepare on defense accordingly.

Ryan Day should have the Buckeyes ready to go by Saturday afternoon. He will make sure that his team doesn’t listen to any of the outside noise and have his team ready to go. It will be the Big Noon game on Fox, so it will be the premier early game. It’s time to show off what this team can do.
