Will Jim Harbaugh’s led Michigan ever take down Ohio State?

It must be difficult for Michigan fans to get excited for the annual meeting with Ohio State considering they’ve only seen three victories in The Game since 2000. Well, 2020 will be no different, the Bucks will come out on top.

Michigan will be coming off a four-game stretch of Purdue, Maryland, Rutgers and Indiana. It’s hard to see the Wolverines slipping up against any of those opponents as Harbaugh usually handles the lesser opponents well. It’s the ranked opponents he struggles with.

Michigan fans are tired of the poor performances in big games under Harbaugh. The Wolverines are 1-10 as underdogs, 9-14 against ranked opponents, and 1-4 in bowl games. And after an 0-5 start against Ohio State, there’s no evidence that Harbaugh can turn the tables in 2020.

Fields had some choice words to say about the rivalry last season.

"I just think we take [The Game] more serious than they do. We prepare for it all year. I just think it means more at Ohio State and thats the biggest reason why we have more success than they do."

More from Ohio State Football

If it is true that the Bucks take the rivalry more seriously than the Wolverines, it says a lot more about Harbaugh than it does Ohio State.

The Buckeyes will most likely come into this matchup 11-0 or 10-1 fighting for a playoff bid. Michigan will most likely be out of the Big Ten East race if history repeats itself, and yes, it sure likes to do so.

Don’t expect the Ohio State football team to slip up this season in The Shoe against their rival as the Bucks continue their streak of wins against that team up north.
