Ohio State Football: Ranking top 10 Buckeye skill position players
No. 5: Jeremy Ruckert, TE
Jeremy Ruckert is the second tight end to make the list as he needs to have a bigger role on this offense next season. Whether it be lining him up outside or letting him do damage in the middle of the field, Ruckert has the skill set to be one of college football’s best receiving tight ends.
No. 4: Master Teague, RB
Master Teague figured to be the starting running back before Trey Sermon cam aboard, but assuming Teague will be healthy he figures to have a role on the offense. Expect to see him split carries all season with Sermon as he has the power and open field speed to be a game changer.
No. 3: Trey Sermon, RB
Trey Sermon is a graduate transfer from Oklahoma and should be Ohio State’s starting running back in 2020. Sermon’s best impact may come in the passing game as he is a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield with 36 career catches in three playing seasons at Oklahoma.
No. 2: Garrett Wilson, WR
Garrett Wilson may be the most talented skill position player on this list and he is headed to be a future first round NFL Draft pick. Making some spectacular catches last season as a true freshman, Wilson should see a huge role next season as he figures to be Ohio State’s H-back.
No. 1: Chris Olave, WR
Chris Olave is most certainly Ohio State’s best playmaker and figures to be Justin Field’s top target next season. Olave had 48 catches for 840 yards and 12 touchdowns last season ane those numbers should increase in 2020.
