Junior Tyler Friday:

Tyler Friday is coming into his junior year with the Bucks. Friday appeared in 11 games in 2019 and recorded 2.5 sacks with 1 fumble recovery. His snap count increased down the stretch last season as Friday recorded a sack on Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence late in the first quarter of the College Football Playoff National Semifinal.

Friday has prototypical size standing 6-3 and weighing 265 pounds. He has the frame to develop into a big time threat up front and the fact that he saw significant playing time down the stretch might suggest he has a starting role in his future.

In 2018, Friday was a top 100 prospect and rated at No. 68 by Rivals coming out of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey. He reined in other offers from Alabama and Georgia but of course, chose to be a Buckeye.

Needless to say, Friday has what it takes to turn into a game-wrecker. His upcoming junior season might be the year he breaks out.

The next player was a highly ranked defensive end in the 2018 recruiting class.
