Championship Game: 2014 vs. 2002

The two best teams that have suited up over the past 25 years meet up in the championship game of this hypothetical tournament. Both beat great teams along the way to get to this point and both certainly have their reasons on why they should win this game.

The 2002 team was one of resiliency. Anything that was thrown its way was swatted down by a team that was motivated to play for each other. Overcoming astronomical odds in wining the 2002 BCS Championship Game against Miami as a 20 point underdog is enormously unbelievable.

The 2014 team had excellent leadership from the top on down and had the talent on the field that equated with anybody. The culmination of Urban Meyer’s program building for over two years while in Columbus, this 2014 team will go down as Ohio State’s best of all-time, even after suffering an early season loss to Virginia Tech.

The 2014 team was just too talented and had too much top end leadership to have them lose in this tournament. I’ve got the 2014 team getting the crown here 38-27.
