Ohio State Football: Predicting remaining targets for 2021 recruiting class
No. 5: Terrance Ferguson, TE
Ohio State has made it no secret that they would like to add two tight end recruits in this class. With two seniors leaving the program after 2020 in Jake Hausman and Luke Farrell, grabbing two tight ends may be a necessity.
After securing Colorado tight end prospect in Sam Hart, Ohio State goes back to Colorado for its second tight end in four-star prospect Terrance Ferguson. Ferguson is ranked slightly ahead of Hart in the 247Sports composite ranking as the No. 296 player in the nation.
It looks like his recruiting battle will come down to the Buckeyes, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State and Wisconsin.
No. 4: Tunmise Adeleye, DE
Securing a second defensive end to pair with the No. 3 overall recruit in the country Jack Sawyer should be a must for Ohio State. And Tunmise Adeleye might just be the best remaining defensive end on the board.
The No. 43 overall player in the nation, Adeleye is currently flirting with becoming a five-star prospect. He posses excellent off the ball quickness and could develop into a dominating pass rushing defensive end for Ohio State under the guidance of coach Larry Johnson.
Currently Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and Ohio State are favorites for his services.
No. 3: Dallas Turner, LB
Ohio State needs to learn from its past mistakes at the running back position. After failing to secure any big time prospects for a two-year stretch it left Ohio State pretty thin at the running back spot. They are in danger of doing the same thing at linebacker.
With no linebacker currently committed to Ohio State for 2021 and with Baron Browning, Pete Werner, Tuf Borland all leaving after next season, Al Washington needs to put on a full court press to secure one in this class.
Dallas Turner could be one that Ohio State can land if they decide to go all in on him. With an excellent reputation at St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida, Ohio State can take the lead into obtaining his services.
The four-star, No. 14 ranked outside linebacker in this class, Turner has offers from Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
