The Ohio State football program has a unique opportunity to separate from the rest of CFB as culture and leadership are on display throughout the country.

Life looks different for the time being and that includes Ohio State football. Programs are having to go through the spring having held a handful of practices, if the school’s even got in that many.

This is a time where culture and the system implemented by the coaching staff will be crucial to the upcoming season. In the case of the Ohio State football team, the strength of The Brotherhood needs to be on full display.

Urban Meyer spent his seven years at Ohio State creating the most elite culture in college football. Culture does not guarantee wins or prevent losses, although it does play a factor.

Culture also does not act as a shield to adversity. Instead, it turns into the glue that keeps everyone together to overcome it.

In this time away, the personal discipline of the players and mindsets instilled into the players by the coaching staff will be what separates the elite teams from the great teams in 2020. Ohio State has the opportunity to gain a major advantage right now and Buckeye fans can rest assured knowing their beloved football team is doing just that.

Ryan Day continued, slightly tweaked and amplified what coach Meyer masterfully built. He and his staff have been recruiting on fire as huge commitments have continued to come in despite the social distancing.

This shows players and prospects believe in the Ohio State football program and still want to be a part of it with no fear of the future but only anticipation to arrive in Columbus and start contributing.

The leadership of Ryan Day and his staff paired with the former players mentoring the current guys has the program remaining fully operational. The only difference is the process in which tasks are completed.

Elite leaders can always see great performance regardless of circumstances because the culture transcends adversity. It just required adjusting and adapting, but the train never falls off the tracks.

Expect the Buckeyes not to skip a beat heading into 2020 as Justin Fields will look to lead his team back to the CFP and take the next step into the National Championship. Ohio State has all of the factors in place for another championship run. Only this time, it will result in Ryan Day proudly hoisting the CFP trophy.
