Texas

The Longhorns have largely underperformed under Tom Herman.

I’ll place part of the blame on having questionable assistants.  That’s still Herman’s fault, but at least he had the good sense to clean house after the season ended.

Hiring Chris Ash and Mike Yurcich should pay off.

My reason for optimism is Sam Ehlinger.  He’s passed for 6955 yards, 57 touchdowns and just 15 interceptions over the last two seasons.

His completion percentage has gone up every year too.

Outside of the trip to LSU, the Longhorns’ schedule is manageable.

The defense finished No. 65 in the FBS last season allowing 27.5 points-per-game.  If he can get that closer to 20 points-per-game, Texas will win the Big 12.
