Thayer Munford, left tackle

If left tackle Thayer Munford finally has an injury free season, look for him to garner votes as an All-American in 2020. Munford is an extremely talented and tough offensive lineman who played through a ton of injuries last season, and he still produced a solid performance from his spot.

Fighting a back and ankle injury all season long, Munford was able to be available to coach Ryan Day for the entire year. Playing  through injury, the tackle was able to execute with excellent technique and held his own during the Big Ten stretch of the schedule.

Munford, who was predicted by some to be a second or third round NFL Draft pick, decided to come back to Ohio State for his senior season. And Munford had an excellent reason to return, to get a degree for his mother. This is what he had to say about earning his degree, via Bucknuts:

"“I want her to be proud of her son,” Munford said. “I know she’s proud of me right now, but I want her to make sure she’s proud of her son and get that degree.”"

Coming back for his senior season and healing up from injury should put Munford on everyone’s watch list for All-American during the 2020 season. Also, with a healthy and productive season Munford could see his NFL stock rise into becoming a first round draft pick.
