Wisconsin (-2) at Minnesota

The stakes have never been higher for the Paul Bunyan Axe Trophy game. The winner takes the West and gets a shot at Ohio State to win the Big Ten.

Both teams are pretty evenly matched.

This game will come down to two factors.  Minnesota’s defense stopping Jonathan Taylor and Tanner Morgan’s protection being good enough for him to do some damage.

I like Wisconsin’s defense more than Minnesota’s so I’ll give the edge to the Badgers.

I also think Wisconsin’s experience of playing in pressure games will help.

Paul Chryst has been in championship games.  He knows how to keep his team locked in and not make the moment too big to handle.

P.J. Fleck has done a masterful job this season.  He panicked several times during the Iowa game, and it cost his team.

Badgers win 27-24.
