Game prediction

As coach Ryan Day said last week, this is a talent equated game. Not meaning the talent is equal on both sidelines, only that Michigan does have the talent and team speed to play with Ohio State.

Throw in the fact that this game is in the Big House and the Wolverines should have a fighters chance at pulling the upset.

Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson is going to have to be spot on. He can not afford to make mistakes against this defense. Turnovers will kill Michigan in this game if they have them.

Like I stated before, Chase Young dominates again and the Silver Bullets will hold the Wolverines to only two touchdown drives and a couple of field goals.

On the other side of the ball, how will Don Brown’s defense fare against this juggernaut Buckeye offense? Michigan has done a better job this season at mixing coverages. They don’t play a simple man to man like they did last season when Dwayne Haskins threw the ball wherever he wanted against them.

Expect Justin Fields to see multiple looks from the secondary and at times it will confuse the young QB. But as the game marches on, and Fields gets more comfortable, I will look to see Ryan Day dial-up some of Urban Meyer’s RPO’s for big gains.

As long as Fields is healthy, he did get banged up last week, I expect to see a second half rushing attack that will break the Wolverines spirit, and Jim Harbaugh’s chances at his first victory over his rival.  Buckeyes 31, Wolverines 20.
